About me

I was born in the eastern part of the Netherlands and currently reside in Zwolle. In my free time, you’ll often find me on my yoga mat, where I find peace and balance. Additionally, I have a passion for art and design, and I enjoy spending my days in museums or at a vintage market looking for beautiful treasures, where I draw inspiration from creativity and culture. Traveling is a true passion of mine, and I relish exploring new destinations and cultures. But above all, I cherish the time spent with my friends and family. Together, we share moments of joy and connection, making life all the more special.

My designs begin in openness. I create space for the unexpected, staying receptive to ideas that only emerge during the process. The concept serves as my guide, but it is never set in stone, it can evolve if it strengthens the final result.

I work in many ways: digitally and by hand, with metal, wood, or plastic, and with cardboard to build models and experiment. It’s a journey, a play between thinking and doing, where I discover what the design truly needs.

For me, design is an experiment, a place where curiosity and freedom meet, leading to a result that is authentic, surprising, and alive.

I am honored that my graduation project was awarded the Academy Award this year. It is a special recognition of the work I created during my final year and of the exploration I pursued in my designs.

It’s inspiring to see the creativity and dedication among my fellow students, together we create work that invites reflection and surprises.
